WorkCover NSW is urging farmers and farm workers to make safety a priority following two recent deaths on NSW farms.

The first fatality occurred when a quad bike being driven by a farm hand rolled down an embankment into a dry dam on a property at Parkville, killing a five-year-old passenger. The farm hand was returning to the house on the property after fixing a damaged pump at the time.

The second fatality occurred when a 26-year-old male farm manager was run over by his side-by-side vehicle after stopping to retrieve a sheep on a property at Denman. The farm manager was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital but later died from his injuries.
