A plumber developed a $500,000 pain in the backside after repeatedly jumping in and out of his truck to fix Townsville’s sewerage system.
Frank Otparlik, 23, says he developed chronic lower back pain, which spread down to his right buttocks and leg, while employed by Townsville City Council.
He is suing the council for $535,120.80 in damages, saying he can no longer work as a plumber, according to a claim lodged in the Townsville District Court.
