    Missing machine guard ...

    Hi

I have completed a hazard report form informing my CEO director
Of machinery missing guards. In response he has told me the company cannot afford the repair at the moment.
If there were a serious injury can I be held accountable as a OHS officer???

    Regards lee

    Hi
Does your company use SOP [Safe Operating Procedures] SWMS [Safe Work Method Statements] if so it should state that guards must be fitted prior to operation. You have put it in writing do you have a copy.Scan the hazard report and email it to you direct supervisor and as many senior people as you can. Also if you feel it is dangerous phone Worksafe.
